Glass Recycling – The Path to the Circular Economy

Recycling provides new material from secondary sources, as opposed to virgin sources.

Whether it is for the economy, the community or the environment – recycling is the best thing to do. Recyclable materials have the power to become new packaging and products. By recycling, we can use the raw materials for a new product, create jobs, reduce greenhouse gases and save natural resources.

Glass is one of the materials that can be recycled 100% and infinitely, in a circular production cycle, without losing its quality.

· Recycling glass also means conserving natural resources

Each ton of recycled glass saves more than a ton of the raw materials needed to create a new bottle. In addition, it also saves 590 kg of sand, 186 kg of soda ash and 173 kg of limestone.

· Recycling glass reduces CO2 emissions

By using 6 tons of recycled glass, we can reduce one ton of CO2.

Recycling glass is sustainable

Glass is a 100% recyclable material, which means it can be recycled many times without losing its purity or quality.
